mary tremayne
Mary Tremayne is an established artist and potter from Vernon, British Columbia who has operated a studio there since 1981. As well as producing sculptural and functional clay and porcelain pieces, she paints with acrylic, coloured pencil and watercolour. She sees a strong connection between the colours and designs in both clay forms and paper works. This has resulted in several juried solo and group exhibitions that explore an issue or theme.
Mary is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Okanagan Potters Association. She has a Bachelors of Education in Art from McGill University, Montréal, Quebec and has given workshops and taught art for several years at high schools in Montréal, Quebec, and in Victoria and Vernon, BC.
