Being creative nourishes my soul and completes me as a person. My love for art is taking me on an exciting journey of discovery, trying new types of paint, surfaces to paint on and different ways to apply them.
As a teenager I sketched, but always wanted to learn how to paint with watercolors. I love the translucency of some colors, and the ability of others to drop sediment into the grooves of the painting surface.
Now I am fascinated with acrylic and ink, on their own, and mixed with watercolor and pencil, creating multiple layers of texture and color. Nature provides most of my inspiration, but it is also exciting to just see where a painting takes you instead of always planning what you want a painting to say or be.
