I have used watercolors for the past 20 years and am now incorporating pastels, inks, acrylic and pencil into my work - whatever it takes to make that image believable.

I was fortunate enough to have Jack Taylor of Sicamous guide my first efforts. Since then have taken a few courses, most notably a ten day workshop in Taos, New Mexico with Christopher Schink, Fran Larsen, Catherine Chang Liu and Skip Lawrence. It was a lot of fun to pick up tips from world renowned artists that one admires.

My studies are ongoing and self directed with the idea of being able to express my feelings for what I see around me using my unique voice. Japan has been a huge inspiration with two trips there and a third planned to bring home new images to paint.
